Insulation Muffs are typically used to insulate components such as pipe clamps, actuators, turbochargers and other delicate components and instrumentation.
Insulation muffs can offer a higher manufacturing tolerance where tighter tolerance components are involved.
Insulation Muffs are constructed similar to heat shields whereby the insulation material is sandwiched between two metallic skins and welded together. However, more intricate geometry can be created with Insulation Muffs by the addition of hard metallic edging strips and rings to provide a more rigid and tight tolerance component.
